Generally, balm is preferred more so by men with longer beards to control flyaway hairs and undesired shapes of the beard upon waking. The beard oil is also designed for the beard and skin but when it comes to styling and shaping, the Lejonjon balm trumps the beard oil here.

Beard balm also works on protecting the beard hair from the elements wind, sun, water. This prevents the beard drying out and it helps to retain the moisture it has absorbed into the skin from the beard oil. We recommend using Lejonjon beard oil and Lejonjon beard balm together for the best results.
